Using an airbrush, this impermanent site-responsive drawing loosely mimics the pattern of the railing to create an immersive experience. Initially, the drawing presents itself as a projected shadow until the difference between the pattern of the railing and the drawing becomes apparent. Rendered directly on the walls, the drawing is located underneath the gallery's staircase where the viewer experiences it as they transition between different floors. The loopy pattern of the drawing resembles a net or a chain link fence that opens and fades at the end, evoking notions of borders, longing, and exile.
